    Our Sustainability Commitment

Cycle Gisborne is committed to sustainable tourism.  We want to make sure we are here for the next 10 years, and that we leave the world a better place for our future.

Here’s some of the ways we are making a difference:-

  • No single use plastic
  • $1 per electric bike hire into our trail fund
  • $1 per person we transfer towards our trail fund
  • We invite all of our tourists to offset their carbon footprint for their trip and accumulate this in our trail fund

What do we do with all the funds we collect?

We purchase native plants and a couple of times a year we plant these on our local trails, such as Fox Street Mountain Bike park or new Tairawhiti Trails.  We hope our local trails will be a native haven for walkers, cyclists and of course our native tui, korimako, kererū, pīwakawaka and kārearea that live in the park and near our local trails.

Together we want to create a truly sustainable tourism industry that makes a positive and enduring contribution to Aotearoa New Zealand.

@cyclegisborne and @eastwoodhillarboretum are teaming up this March to bring you an offer you won’t want to miss!

This March, book your cycle tour with overnight stay at Eastwoodhill for April or May and get 20%OFF your booking. ✨
