Rere Rockslide & Falls Tour with Picnic Lunch

The Rere Rockslide is one of the major attractions of the river. The rockslide is a 60-metre-long waterfall that cascades over a series of smooth rocks, creating a natural waterslide. The rockslide is located in the Wharekopae River. The Rere Falls is approximately 20 meters high and is very picturesque. There are also walking tracks that lead to and from the falls.

Take the hassle out of driving to Rere and join a guided tour with the team at Experience Gisborne. Sit back, relax and enjoy magnificent scenery and informative commentary. Your experienced local driver will show you the best views along the way. The hour drive will take you to Rere Rockslide where you will spend a couple of hours. You can slide down this 60-metre-long natural water slide at your own risk. Smoothed by eons of constantly running water, the famous Tairāwhiti Gisborne water slide is a wild ride you’ll never forget. Boogie boards, inflatable mattresses, and inner tubes can be used to slide on.

After you’ve had your adrenaline fix we will make our way over to Rere Falls where you can have a relax, picnic lunch, and swim under the falls. This tour takes about 5 hours and is a great way to spend a day and is suitable for all ages.
